Edina Library Removes Berenstain Bear Book for Gender Insensitivity

The Edina Library System announced via press release that it will be removing the popular Berenstain Bear book entitled “No Girls Allowed” after several complaints about its gender insensitivity. In the book, young cubs feud over exclusive clubs that base their membership purely on binary genders. Community activists argue that the book traumatizes those in the non-binary community.

“We don’t need no f*cking Christian propaganda books in our libraries” yelled non-binary activist, Chris. “The Berenstain Bears books were written by bigoted, cisgender Nazis”.

Librarian Gretta Anderson disagreed. “I think these children books are great stories. We’ve been reading them to the local kids for the last 40 years I’ve worked here”.

Unfortunately for Mrs Anderson, the Edina Library System Board took a vote last night after the city attorney warned of impending lawsuits. In a vote of 6-1, the Board approved the removal of the books from library shelves.
