Black Smoke Indicates GOP House Selects Lobbyist as Leader

The Holy Alliance of “Conservatives” in the Minnesota House Republican Caucus signaled that their private meeting has concluded with the selection of a lobbyist as the leader. Sources informed us early this morning that Kurt Daudt, who lobbies for DC based Stateside Associates, won the leadership position again.

Black smoke is used by the alliance to indicate the same failed leadership of the past will remain the status quo at the Capitol. White smoke indicates the caucus rejected the mistakes of the past and went in a new direction. Minnesota Loonatic has been stationed at the Capitol all night waiting for a signal from the alliance.

Members of the Alliance, like Glenn Gruenhagen, appear pleased that Daudt used his political connections with the Democrats to pass a $1.9 Billion bonding bill weeks before the November election. Had Daudt remained steadfast in his fiscally conservative beliefs listed on his campaign website, we’re unsure that the alliance would have backed Daudt’s leadership for the 4th straight time.
