Upset At Jazzercise Class Cancellation, Republican Gazelka to Write Strongly Worded Letter to Governor

Republican Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka woke early Friday morning to upsetting news. His Jazzercise class at the YMCA sent out an email stating the cancellation of all future classes.

The email reads: “Due to the Governor’s recent order that closes fitness centers, all future Gull Lake area YMCA Jazzercise classes are officially cancelled. We wish the best for you jazzercisers as you look for alternative methods of jazzercising”.

Irate that Governor Walz took away his favorite past time, Sen Paul Gazelka grabbed a Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino with Soy Milk and began writing a strongly worded letter to the Governor. When asked by the Minnesota Loonatic why he chose writing a letter over voting to end the Governor’s executive powers when the legislature reconvenes, Gazelka stated “because the Governor and I have a great working relationship. He’s trying to do the right thing, even though I think it’s a mistake for him to cancel my jazzercising.”

House Speaker Hortman tweeted at Gazelka this morning encouraging him to explore alternative exercises outdoors like she does including “power walking, jump roping or interpretive dance”.
