South Dakota’s Governor, Kristi Noem, has made a name for herself in the COVID days as one of the most pro-freedom governors in the country. But this weekend, she uncharacteristically went a different direction when she banned the wearing of masks in vehicles with one person.
According to Executive Order 2-20, South Dakotans are “prohibited from wearing a cloth mask while driving alone”. People who violate the order could face “public shaming and 10 years to life imprisonment”.
“We have a serious issue in this country right now” claimed Noem in her Sunday afternoon address. “There are a lot of Karens out there, driving around in smug little Priuses and minivans, wearing masks while driving alone. The science is clear. Wearing a mask has a higher chance of restricting oxygen flow that could result in a vehicle collision than there is in spreading COVID to other drivers on the road.”
A spokesperson for the Governor added that South Dakotans are on her side on the issue despite its limits on individual freedom of woke soccer moms.
Facebook Fact Checkers are busy at work trying to validate Noem’s claim. If our story gets taken down off Facebook, it’s likely that Zuckerberg is trying to protect South Dakotans.
Oh my, every time We see these people in their vehicles alone with a mask. We’re laughing so hard to the point of tears. We now try to not drink beverages while driving it seems everytime we do see these ppl we have to clean the vehicle!🤣🤣
